Living Trusts
A legal agreement under which you transfer assets to the trust during your lifetime to be managed by a trustee for the benefit of one or more people, generally you and your spouse. You may act as your own trustee during your lifetime, or you may have First Bank of Berne serve as the trustee. Our trust department can manage assets and pay expenses.
Lifetime Asset Management

Testamentary
A trust established in a will which begins after the testator’s death.
Funeral Trusts
An irrevocable trust set up by an individual naming First Bank of Berne as the trustee. Upon the individual’s death, the trust funds are distributed to a licensed funeral home to cover the funeral and burial expenses associated with preplanned funeral arrangements.
Personal Representative
First Bank of Berne can be appointed as the entity to carry out the provisions of a will.
