Berne, IN - Financial Management Consulting Group has once again declared First Bank of Berne the #1 ranked best performing bank in the state of Indiana. The 1st Quarter 2009 Indiana Bank Performance Report was just recently publicized.
This is the second time in the last four quarters that First Bank of Berne held the best average ranking for all categories and awarded #1 status, the first being mid-year 2008. The quarterly report analyzes banks on various financial factors such as interest margin, efficiency, asset quality (loans) and profits.
"In spite of the tough economy we continue to do very well, coming off our best year ever in 2008. We attribute a great deal of our success to our communities that we serve," stated First Bank of Berne president, Charles E. Isch. "We have very loyal employees and customers who are deep rooted and know the meaning of safe, secure, and trustworthiness; and how important these qualities are during hard times."
